How rotational moulding works
Powdered polyethylene is loaded into a mould, which is heated while it rotates slowly on two axes. The plastic melts and coats the inside of the mould evenly, then the mould is cooled and the finished part removed.
Because the plastic is never forced in under pressure, the result is a seamless, double-walled part with no built-in stresses.

Why it makes a better lid
Keeps its shape
A rotomoulded lid can be bent or crushed several times and still return to its original shape.
Solid and rigid
Double-walled parts feel solid, with no deflection when the lid is lifted at a corner.
No built-in stresses
Polyethylene isn’t introduced under pressure, so there are no stresses to cause cracking later.
Economical tooling
Low tooling costs make short production runs viable.
Easy to personalise
Custom logo plates add your branding simply and inexpensively.
Flexible
Moulds and colours can be changed easily to suit each order.
