Duraflex Lids

About Duraflex

DuraFlex® lids are made by Container Components Europe Ltd, which pioneered plastic lids for waste containers in 1984. We design and rotationally mould replacement lids, doors and parts in Chesterfield for customers across the UK, Europe and beyond.

The company that pioneered plastic lids

Container Components Europe introduced plastic lids in 1984. They replaced metal lids, a significant cause of serious injuries and even fatalities, and helped make the waste industry a safer place to work.

Focused entirely on plastic lids for the global waste market, we’ve invested heavily in design technology, research and development, training and in-house manufacturing. Worldwide, the DuraFlex® name stands for quality and innovation, and for durable lids at competitive prices, delivered on reliable schedules.

Since 2001 our UK operation has been based in a purpose-built 44,000 sq ft (4,000 m²) facility in Chesterfield, around 2 km from the motorway network in central England. From here we supply the UK, the rest of Europe and the Middle East.

DuraFlex lids are also made at plants in Atlanta, Georgia and Jonesboro, Arkansas, and are now in use on all five continents.
